Oktoberfest Malloco returns to Chile from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 October 2026. The festival is held at the Centro de Eventos Munich in Malloco, in the comuna of Peñaflor.

Peñaflor sits west of Santiago in the Región Metropolitana, in the Talagante area. The site is a dedicated events ground rather than a city venue.

The line-up runs by day. Zillertal Orchester and Candelabro play Friday alongside a DJ set from Fader and Catboy, Amigo de Artistas plays Saturday, and Los Vásquez close on Sunday.

Tickets are sold only through Puntoticket. General entry is CLP 13,800 on Friday and CLP 28,750 on Saturday and Sunday.

At 953.44 pesos to the dollar, published by open.er-api.com on 18 September 2026, Friday entry is about US$14.47. The weekend rate works out at about US$30.15.

A three-day pass costs CLP 51,750, roughly US$54.28. That is cheaper than two weekend days bought separately.

Children pay CLP 2,875 and older visitors CLP 9,200 on any day. Hospitality tickets run CLP 69,000 on Friday and CLP 92,000 at the weekend.

The presale rates published in June were lower, at CLP 8,050 for Friday and CLP 17,250 for a weekend day. Those tiers have closed, and the figures above are what the seller lists now.

That gap is worth noting for next year rather than this one. The festival prices in tiers, and the early tier is materially cheaper.

A German Festival With a Chilean History

Chile has a long German-descended community in the south, and Oktoberfest events across the country draw on it. The Malloco edition is the largest of them.

The Zillertal Orchester is the clearest link to that history. The group has played this style of music in Chile for decades, and it opens the festival.

The rest of the bill is domestic pop and cumbia rather than Bavarian brass. Los Vásquez, who close on Sunday, are among the better-known acts working in that field.

That mix is the point. The festival sells a German frame around a Chilean weekend, and the music reflects the audience rather than the theme.

The result is closer to a national festival with beer than to a reproduction of Munich. Visitors expecting the second will find the first.

What It Means If You Live in Chile

For foreign residents around Santiago, this is a short trip rather than a journey. Peñaflor is on the western edge of the metropolitan region.

The Friday rate is the cheapest way in, and Friday is also the day the traditional orchestra plays. The two facts sit together conveniently.

Anyone driving should account for parking, which is sold separately for each day. The site is not on a metro line.

A three-day pass only makes sense for people who intend to return on more than one day. For a single visit, the day ticket is the cheaper route.

The event is also one of the few places in Chile where the German-Chilean tradition is visible to a general audience rather than a regional one.

Transport to the site has not been detailed publicly either. Previous editions have relied on private cars and paid parking rather than organised shuttles.

The organisers said in June that further activities and guests would be added. Some of those had been announced by September, and others had not.
