Seven killed in accident in Southern Brazil

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - At least seven people were killed and eight others injured in a reported accident on a highway in Brazil's Paraná state on Monday.

State Highway Police (PRE) official Lt. Sidnei Hudach said, "So far, we have seven confirmed fatalities. The vehicle was transporting patients from Pato Bragado to Cascavel, and we still do not know who the victims are or how old they are.

The accident occurred around 6 a.m. (local time) in the municipality of Marechal Candido Rondon, more precisely at kilometer 17 of highway BR-467.
