In Plain English
Eticket is a ticket seller in Costa Rica, and its terms of sale name Banco BAC San José, a bank, as the contracting party. Parque Viva is a privately run event complex in La Guácima, a district of Alajuela west of San José, with an open-air amphitheatre and a covered events centre.
The colón, written ₡, is the currency of Costa Rica, and every colón amount in this guide is followed by its value in US dollars. Costa Rica stays at UTC minus 6 all year, which is one hour behind New York after US clocks go back.
Grupo Barak, a Christian music group from the Dominican Republic, plays Parque Viva in Alajuela, Costa Rica, on Friday 20 November 2026 at 7:00 pm local time, which is 8:00 pm Eastern. Tickets are on sale at the seller Eticket from ₡19,400 (US$42.81) to ₡40,500 (US$89.38), with the service charge included.
The show carries the tour name Tour Iglesia, Spanish for Church Tour, and every colón amount in this guide is converted at the central bank reference rate of ₡453.12 per US dollar on 30 October 2026, the midpoint of the day’s buying and selling rates. Background on the country is in the Costa Rica section, and the venue’s calendar for the surrounding days is covered further down.
For a US reader the practical points are a one-hour gap to New York once US clocks go back on Sunday 1 November 2026, entry rules that call for a passport and an onward ticket, and a venue the operator places 6 km from the main airport. The sections below set out the tickets, the getting-there details, the safety advice and what the venue and the seller have not yet published.
What Tour Iglesia Is
Barak is described on its streaming profile as a Christian music group formed in 2009 in the Dominican Republic, and the profile says the name comes from the Hebrew word for lightning. The same profile says its 2010 debut album Mi Gran Amor was a hit across Latin America and that its 2016 album Generación Radical was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award.
The Latin Grammy Awards are the yearly prizes of the Latin Recording Academy for music in Spanish and Portuguese. The group’s official video channel describes its aim as reaching souls around the world for Christ, and the profile lists its latest release as the live single Bondadoso Dios, dated 25 September 2026.
The seller’s event page names the evening Grupo Barak, Tour Iglesia, and its poster adds the words World Tour and Special Guests without naming any guest. The page lists a company, Two Shows SRL, as the organiser, and the poster shows BAC, the bank behind the seller’s terms of sale, as presenter.
Tickets and Prices
Eticket, the seller to which the venue’s own ticket button leads, lists eight price zones for the Friday show in colones and says the service charge is already included in each price. The cheapest zone, 500 Lateral, costs ₡19,400 (US$42.81), and the dearest, 400 Central, costs ₡40,500 (US$89.38).
In between, 500 Preferencial costs ₡25,300 (US$55.84), 500 Central ₡28,800 (US$63.56) and 400 Lateral ₡31,100 (US$68.64). Golden Circle Central, Golden Circle Lateral and 400 Preferencial each cost ₡37,000 (US$81.66).
The listing showed every zone as in stock when it was read on 30 October 2026, and its offers are marked valid from 10 August 2026. Tickets can be added to Apple and Google wallets, and the page also offers a buy now, pay later option.
Eticket’s terms of sale say there are no exchanges, refunds or cancellations, except a full refund when the event is cancelled for reasons outside the seller’s control. They add that the ticket limit is set per event and that an online buyer receives the best available seat in the zone paid for.
The seller’s terms of sale add that every purchase also carries a delivery-method charge on top of the total, and the pages read on 30 October 2026 do not state its amount. Buyers with questions about seats or fees can call the seller’s customer line at +506 2295 9400, which is printed on its event page.
Parque Viva and Getting There
Parque Viva is a multi-venue event complex in La Guácima, a district of Alajuela, which the operator says opened in 2015 on a site of 300,000 square metres. The operator also says it has held 1,147 events since then and has hosted 70 percent of the concerts staged in Costa Rica.
The operator places the complex 6 km from Juan Santamaría International Airport, known by its code SJO, and 18 minutes away by road. It adds that the venue is 10 minutes from the national road José María Castro Madriz, which links the metropolitan area with the central Pacific coast.
Parque Viva has 3,900 parking spaces and says parking can be paid on entry or in advance through its parking platform. It adds that paying by card or through a system it calls Compass speeds up entry.
For buses, the operator names Zúñiga e Hijos as the company that runs the usual route and says the Alajuela company TUASA adds a specially signed route for important events. Taxis and ride apps such as Uber normally have a special entrance inside the grounds, and the venue says it has at times opened satellite car parks in San José with return shuttles.
Inside, the operator lists 15 food options, made up of 10 food trucks and 5 concessions, plus 3 drinks kiosks. It also lists two fixed toilet towers with more than 300 units and calls itself the most accessible venue in Costa Rica under the country’s Law 7600 on disability access.
A Busy Week at the Venue
The venue’s calendar lists Los Fabulosos Cadillacs on Thursday 19 November, Barak on Friday 20 November, Omar Courtz on Saturday 21 November and Milo J on Sunday 22 November. Details of the neighbouring nights are in the pages on the Los Fabulosos Cadillacs concert, the Omar Courtz concert and the Milo J concert.
Four concerts in four days put the same access roads and car parks to repeated use. The operator says it runs a protocol with the local authorities that switches on whenever a large event takes place.
Tips for US Visitors
The Costa Rica Tourism Board, the national tourism authority, says foreign visitors need a passport that can be read electronically, proof of funds of at least US$100 per month of stay, and a return ticket or a plan to travel onward. It adds that the immigration officer sets the length of stay at the border, so the return booking and the proof of funds should be in hand.
The State Department’s country page says authorities may permit stays of up to 180 days without a visa but are not required to do so, and that a return ticket is required. The tourism board says the departure tax of US$29 is included in most airline tickets and can be paid in dollars, colones or by card where it is not.
The State Department’s travel advisory for Costa Rica is Level 2, exercise increased caution because of crime, in an entry dated 2 April 2026. It says petty crime is common throughout the country and that violent crime also affects tourists.
The department’s country page advises using only licensed taxis or well-known ride-sharing services and never accepting rides from unlicensed vehicles. Costa Rican police detained four men on 29 October 2026 on suspicion of sedating and robbing people in unofficial rides, which makes a booked ride home after a late show the safer plan.
Costa Rica does not change its clocks and stays at UTC minus 6, so the 7:00 pm start is 8:00 pm in New York, 7:00 pm in Chicago and 5:00 pm in Los Angeles. The venue’s own Costa Rica page lists the country’s time zone as UTC minus 6.
The tourism board calls May to November the green season, and November is its last month, so a rain jacket is a sensible precaution for an evening show. The operator describes its amphitheatre as an open-air venue, but it has not said whether Barak plays there.
The seller quotes prices in colones, so a US card statement will show an amount converted by the card issuer. Checking the issuer’s foreign transaction fees before buying is a sensible step for anyone paying from the United States.
What It Means for You
For a US traveller the show is a dated reason to add a Friday night in Alajuela to a Costa Rica trip, at a ticket cost of about US$43 to US$89 before travel. The operator puts the road time from the airport at 18 minutes, which keeps the last leg of the trip short.
For fans in the United States who follow Spanish-language Christian music, the listing is a chance to see a Dominican group abroad, with seats sold in colones through a Costa Rican seller. Buyers should treat the no-refund terms as firm and book flights only once the tickets are secured.
Parents should note that the seller’s terms tell buyers to choose a seat that suits their age and health, and the pages read on 30 October 2026 publish no age rule. Families can ask the seller’s customer line before buying.
What Is Not Known
Neither the venue nor the seller publishes the door time, the set length or the names of the special guests that the poster mentions. The venue’s calendar shows 4:00 pm for Barak, as it does for every concert on its list, while the seller gives 7:00 pm as the event time.
The venue has not said which of its venues hosts the show, so it is not clear whether the audience will be in the open-air amphitheatre or the covered events centre. The seller’s price list names zones such as Golden Circle, 400 and 500, but the page text does not say which zones are seated and which are standing.
Parking prices, ride fares from the airport, the amount of the delivery-method charge and any age rule are not published on the pages read on 30 October 2026. Whether any zone sells out before 20 November will show only on the seller’s page.
