For eight years the name sat unused. Festival En Órbita Santiago comes back on Thursday 24 and Friday 25 September 2026. The venue is Centro de Eventos Basel, in the Independencia district of Santiago, Chile.

The eight-year gap ends on a Thursday

En Órbita last ran eight years ago. The 2026 edition takes two nights at a single venue in northern Santiago.

The bill leans indie, alternative and electronic. Three visiting acts share it with four Chilean names.

Organisers call the weekend a multidisciplinary platform rather than a concert. Art, design and talks sit beside the stages, under a space theme.

A strand called En Órbita Lab runs alongside the music. Organisers present it as a working space across several creative disciplines.

Both nights are listed to begin at 18:00, six in the evening. A separate door time has never been published.

Independencia is a hospital district, not a nightlife one

The venue stands at Avenida Independencia 565, a short way north of the Mapocho river and the old centre.

Independencia is a plain working commune, known across Santiago for its large public hospitals. The nearest station carries that name: Metro Hospitales, on Line 3.

What a ticket costs, fee included

PuntoTicket sells the tickets, and each listed general-sale price already contains the booking fee.

A two-day pass is listed at CLP 98,900 (about US$105). Of that, CLP 12,900 (about US$14) is the fee itself.

Thursday alone is listed at CLP 63,250 (about US$67). Friday alone is listed at CLP 55,200 (about US$59).

Earlier presale tiers sold both nights at CLP 79,350 (about US$85). The page no longer says whether any of them are still open.

The cheapest ticket buys part of a night

The cheap option is called the Ticket Fiesta, and it appears against Friday 25 only. It has never once appeared against the Thursday.

Its first presale tier was CLP 17,250 (about US$18). The general tier is listed at CLP 28,750 (about US$31).

The hour that ticket admits you is the field the page leaves empty. Neither PuntoTicket nor the organisers have filled it in.

So a low headline price may cover only part of Friday night. The listing names no sets either way.

Anyone who wants the full weekend is safest with the two-day pass. Read the ticket page line by line before you pay.

Blonde Redhead and Dry Cleaning, a long way from home

Blonde Redhead headline Thursday 24. The trio formed in New York in the 1990s and works in art rock and dream pop.

Kazu Makino sings and plays keys. The brothers Amedeo and Simone Pace take guitar and drums.

Their music favours quiet guitars, close harmonies and slow builds. It rewards a room that listens rather than shouts.

Dry Cleaning play the same night. The British band sets flat, spoken vocals against taut post-punk guitar.

Neither act tours South America often. That is most of why the June announcement travelled so far.

Friday belongs to Brooklyn and to Santiago

Beach Fossils headline Friday 25. The Brooklyn band plays bright, hazy guitar pop.

Dënver play the same night. The Chilean pop duo has a long run of albums behind it.

Alejandro Paz performs live on Friday, and Diegors is on the bill too. Both come out of Santiago’s club and dance scene.

Dinastía Moon opens the Thursday. The Chilean act shares that night with the two visiting bands.

Neither night has a running order yet. It usually surfaces in the final days before the doors.

A week after the flags come down

The festival lands a week after Fiestas Patrias, the national holidays of 18 and 19 September. The whole month runs busier than usual in Chile.
