Paraguay and Costa Rica lead the world in production of green energy

Paraguay and Costa Rica lead the world ranking of countries that generate electricity from renewable sources. This was announced by the Latin American Energy Organization (Olade) on Wednesday (20).

According to the report, both countries generate 100 percent of their electricity from renewable energy sources. Iceland and Norway are in second place with 99 and 98 percent, respectively.

The list continues with Ecuador at 92 percent, Uruguay at 85 percent, El Salvador at 84 percent, Brazil at 77 percent, Denmark at 81 percent, and New Zealand at 80 percent.
