RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Since the current government of Jair Bolsonaro (PL) took office in 2019, 211 Union properties with a total value of R$675.9 million (US$145 million) have been sold. This gives an average of R$205.4 million per year, excluding 2022, which is still ongoing.
Compared to previous presidents Michel Temer (MDB) and Dilma Rousseff (PT), this is a 93% increase. And it coincides with what Bolsonaro (PL) and his Economy Minister Paulo Guedes said during the election campaign, albeit on a much smaller scale.
