Bolsonaro and Lula da Silva remain technically tied in Brazil’s São Paulo state

A Genial/Quaest poll released Thursday (8) shows that current government leader conservative Jair Bolsonaro (PL, right) is technically tied with former President socialist Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT, left) in the state of São Paulo, the country's powerhouse.

São Paulo is the country's most important state to decide an election because it alone is home to about 46 million people, about 22% of the entire nation.

The conservative president has 37% of the electoral vote in the state compared to the socialist Lula da Silva with 36%.
