Rio Nightlife Guide for Monday, March 25, 2019

PARTY:
The Glow Party! @ New Mariuzinn (Copacabana) – This is the Monday night party in Rio’s famous Copacabana neighborhood, with free caipirinhas until midnight, random tequila shots, and special promotions on beers and vodka energy drinks.

The music for the night will feature a live samba act. Then DJ Guga Fernandes, the resident DJ, will be spinning some house, hiphop and reggaeton, followed by DJ Dluccio who will spin everything from pop, to trap, to deep house.

If you’re looking for an upscale, big club experience, this promises to be the ticket. The dancefloor will be immersed in black light and they will be handing out everything from glow paint to glow bracelets and much more. The party starts at 11PM and tickets are between R$40-R$60.

PARTY:
Soft Opening Week @ Pink Flamingo (Copacabana) – This March, Rio de Janeiro gets a new bar and club focused on diversity and inspired by all that’s best about the global LGBTQ + community.

From Saturday to Wednesday, always starting at 6PM, the club will be in ‘Soft Opening mode to welcome people with drinks, snacks and the best DJs in the Rio scene, before the official opening on Thursday, March 28th.

This free event starts at 6PM.

Lançamento da Pineapple Express @ Hocus Pocus DNA (Botafogo) – Hocus Pocus DNA have put on a special celebration for their new creation, Pineapple Express, an American IPA with one of their favorite hops, Mosaic, and a huge amount of pineapple, a South American fruit that combines excellently with an IPA.

These two fresh ingredients perfectly combine to create an aroma that is the definition of “tropical”, looking like a slice of freshly cut pineapple was placed inside the glass. With six percent alcohol content and a nice bitterness, this is a beer that will undoubtedly demonstrate the potential of an IPA with added fruit.

This free event will continue until 11PM on Monday.

Winehouse (Botafogo)
Winehouse is a wine bar run by a British expat that has brought an eclectic range of wines to Rio including a mix of fabulous national wines and international favorites. There is also a great selection of nibbles and cheese boards. For those who aren’t too keen on wine, there is plenty of beer and cocktail options too. Happy hour begins at 6PM and finishes at 8PM.

Pavão Azul (Copacabana)
Pavão Azul is a lively bar in Copacabana, famous for its exceptionally cold beers and prawn pastels. It gets crowded there every night, making every day of the week seem like the weekend.

Blue Agave Copa (Copacabana)

Nosso (Ipanema)
Located in a charming house at Maria Quitéria Street, its sophisticated drinks and dishes are undoubtedly worth a try. You will also enjoy Nosso if you are a rum lover: their rum drinks, with labels from Cuba and Jamaica, are the house specialties.
