Lucapa announces the discovery of a 160 carat diamond in Angola

The new 160-carat Type IIa white diamond is the 28th of more than 100 carats recovered at the Lulo mine and the sixth largest found to date at the mine in Capenda Camulemba, Lunda Norte.

The Australian company that operates the mine and owns 40 percent of the company, which also includes state-owned Endiama (32 percent) and Rosa e Pétalas (28 percent), also said diamond production has been "strong" in the last two months, with more than 100 "specials" - diamonds of more than 10.8 carats - mined.
