Brazil's state-owned Petrobras, the largest oil conglomerate in Latin America, is the company that paid the most dividends worldwide in the second quarter of this year: R$87.8 billion (US$17.2 billion), R$6.732 per preferred and common share.
The conclusion comes from the Global Dividend Index of Janus Henderson, a management company that manages US$299.7 billion. The study has been conducted since 2009 to analyze long-term trends in dividends.
For this quarter, 1,200 dividend payments from companies worldwide were analyzed.
