Brazil’s oil exports down nearly 28% in June

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Brazilian crude oil exports reached 5.88 million tons in June, down 27.7% from last year. This is according to data released yesterday (1) by the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex) when the industry is expanding its refineries in the country to address supply concerns.

However, revenues from shipments declined to a lesser extent, amounting to US$3.63 billion, down 2.94% from June last year, as fossil fuel prices rose in the international market.
