Brazilian corn exports more than double in September

Brazilian corn exports reached 6.78 million tons in September, more than double the volume of 2.85 million tons in the same month last year, when the second harvest was affected by weather conditions, Brazilian government data showed today (3).

However, according to the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex), September grain shipments were below the record 7.55 million tons in August.

The country has had a historic second corn harvest this year.

The country set another record in September in the beef market by staying at 203 thousand tons of exported fresh meat.
