Soda Stereo returns to Bogotá on Thursday, 10 December 2026, with its ECOS show at the arena long known as Movistar Arena. Tickets are sold only through TuBoleta, a Colombian ticket firm.

For a US fan or an expat in Colombia, this is a Thursday-night arena show with prices from about US$74. This guide covers the tickets, the venue, entry rules and what is still unknown.

What Soda Stereo and ECOS Are

Soda Stereo is an Argentine rock band whose singer, Gustavo Cerati, died in 2014. Its two surviving members, Zeta Bosio and Charly Alberti, now tour a show called ECOS.

Colombian media describe ECOS as an experience that combines live music, technology and audiovisual archives. They say Bosio and Alberti play live, while Cerati appears through archive material and technology.

The show is not presented as a tribute band. The band’s own site says Cerati, Alberti and Bosio "reunite thanks to technology" and calls the tour ECOS.

Colombian reports describe the technology as a hyper-realistic holographic projection of Cerati. None says how many songs the set holds.

In Plain English

TuBoleta is a Colombian ticket company, and COP is the Colombian peso. Movistar Arena was the name, until 31 October 2026, of the arena at El Corazón de Bogotá, a venue complex in the city.

A hologram is a projected image that looks three-dimensional. Platea is the general-admission floor zone at this arena.

The ECOS tour began in Buenos Aires in March 2026, the band’s site shows. Its listed dates run from Honduras on 4 November to Medellín on 12 December.

The band’s site lists three May shows at the same Bogotá arena, and it marks two of them sold out. Colombian reports say the band had last played the country in 2007.

The 10 December date was added after the May shows, with presales opening on 27 July 2026. It falls on a Thursday.

Tickets and Prices

The TuBoleta event page calls the company the only authorised ticket operator for this show. The general sale opened on Friday, 31 July 2026, and runs until sold out.

Two earlier presales, for Movistar Total customers and Aval bank clients, ended on 31 July. The page limits each transaction to six tickets.

The cheapest seats, in third-tier sectors 304 to 306 and 314 to 316, cost COP 199,000 plus COP 36,000 in fees. That is COP 235,000 in total (about US$74).

Third-tier sectors 307 to 313 list at COP 270,000 in total (about US$85). Second-tier sectors 203 and 217 list at COP 318,000 (about US$100).

Second-tier sectors 204 to 206 and 214 to 216 list at COP 435,000 in total (about US$137). The Platea floor, which is general admission, lists at COP 353,000 (about US$111).

Tribuna Fan Sur, a numbered zone with 70 places, costs the same as the floor. Both list at COP 353,000 in total (about US$111).

The best second-tier seats, in sectors 207 to 213, list at COP 565,000 in total (about US$178). The terms say prices may change at any time and rise once a zone fills its first-stage allotment.

Conversions use COP 3,182.99 per US dollar, the Banco de la República TRM in force on 3 November 2026, rounded. The page does not show whether any zone has sold out.

Tickets bought with an international bank card are delivered only at the box office, to the buyer. A US visitor who pays online should plan time to collect them before doors open.

The Arena and How to Get There

The Movistar name ended on 31 October 2026, the arena operator announced in September. The venue now calls itself El Corazón de Bogotá, and a new naming sponsor is expected to be announced in 2027.

TuBoleta lists the venue as El Corazón de Bogotá – Arena, although its rules text still says Movistar Arena. The venue says its programme with promoters stays in place.

The venue’s site gives the address as Diagonal 61C No. 26-35 in Bogotá. It tells visitors to use the Corazón de Bogotá TransMilenio station, the city’s bus rapid transit system, and walk from there.

Partner car parks stand at the El Campín stadium, north and south, and at the Palacio de los Deportes. The venue says some events include free shuttle buses, and parking fees depend on each operator.

The venue says drop-off points near the main entrances are clear and organised. It advises visitors to use trusted ride apps or to check that a taxi is registered.

The ticket terms set an age minimum of 12, and anyone under 16 must come with an adult. Sectors 206, 214, 306 and 314 are alcohol-free, and the page suggests that minors sit there.

Pregnant women in visible pregnancy will not be admitted, following authority recommendations, the terms say. Guests with reduced mobility should tell TuBoleta when they buy and tell staff on the day.

Exterior of the arena then called Movistar Arena in Bogotá, a large rounded grey building with its name on the facade, a yellow taxi and a white truck on the avenue in front

Safety, Entry Rules and Costs for US Visitors

The US State Department rates Colombia Level 3, Reconsider Travel, in an advisory dated 30 March 2026. It cites crime, terrorism, civil unrest, kidnapping and natural disasters, with some areas at higher risk.

The advisory says street crime can quickly turn violent and that travellers should not resist if targeted. It also lists drugging among crimes that occur frequently in some regions.

It says demonstrations are common and can close roads and cut access to public transport. It bars US government employees from hailing street taxis or using any public transport in Colombia.

The advisory names Arauca, Cauca, Valle del Cauca and Norte de Santander as areas not to visit, excepting Popayán and Cali. Bogotá and Medellín are not on that list.

The US State Department says US citizens need no visa for a stay of 90 days or fewer in Colombia. Its country page does not set out extension rules.

Migración Colombia, the immigration agency, says foreigners need a valid passport and, depending on nationality, an exit ticket and proof of funds. It calls its online Check-Mig form optional, and visitors should confirm the current stay rule and any extension there.

Bogotá uses UTC-5 all year, and New York is on standard time in December. A 7 p.m. start in Bogotá is therefore 7 p.m. in New York.

No hotel, taxi or parking prices were checked for this guide. The ticket prices above, from about US$74, are the only confirmed costs.

The Rest of the Colombian Run

The band’s site lists a second Colombian show on Saturday, 12 December, at La Macarena in Medellín. The seller and general-sale date for that show were not confirmed for this guide.

No Medellín prices or start time were found. After Colombia, the band’s site lists no further dates for 2026.

What It Means for You

For a US fan, the main costs are the flight and a ticket from about US$74. Buy only from TuBoleta, because the event page names it as the only authorised operator.

Expats in Bogotá can reach the arena by TransMilenio or a pre-booked ride and should plan the trip home early. Visitors with non-US passports should check Colombia’s entry rules for their nationality.

What Is Not Known

The length of the set, the support act and any ban list for bags or cameras have not been published. Whether any zone has sold out could not be checked.

It is not confirmed whether the listed prices have moved since the sale began. Medellín prices, and whether shuttle buses will run on 10 December, are also unconfirmed.

What Comes Next

Organisers usually publish the final access plan closer to a concert, so watch the TuBoleta page and the venue’s site. Doors open at 6 p.m. on Thursday, 10 December, and the show starts at 7 p.m.
