We Love Summer NYE, a ten-stage New Year’s Eve festival, takes place on Thursday 31 December 2026 at The Port in Cape Town, South Africa. The event runs from 16:00 until 04:00 on Friday 1 January 2027, South African time (UTC+2).
For US and European visitors, the festival falls in the middle of Cape Town’s summer, when the city is warm and busy. Entry is for people aged 18 and over, and the cheapest general ticket costs R333.33 (US$20.00 at 16.67 rand per dollar on 2 November 2026).
We Love Summer NYE 2026 Date, Time and Venue
The organiser, We Love Summer, lists the event for Thursday 31 December 2026, starting at 16:00 and ending at 04:00 on Friday 1 January 2027. South Africa uses one time zone all year, two hours ahead of UTC and seven hours ahead of New York in winter.
The venue is The Port, a Cape Town event site at 19 Voortrekker Road, built inside a container depot. The organiser describes it as minutes from the city centre.
The festival returns after a New Year’s Eve edition that the organiser says sold out. For 2026 it promises its biggest and most varied production so far, with more stages and more festival brands than before.
What to Expect at Ten Stages in One Night
The organiser’s tagline is “10 Festival Brands, 10 Stages”, so the depot is split into ten separate worlds, each with its own stage and sound. A festival brand here means a named party series with its own crowd and style.
The music runs from house and electronic to live acts and everything in between. The organiser promises large-scale production, immersive spaces and collaborations with well-known South African music and lifestyle festivals.
Everyone counts down to midnight together, even though the stages differ. The organiser has not said which brands or artists will appear.
