Rap in Cena 2026 in Porto Alegre, Brazil: Matuê, Filipe Ret and MC Hariel Headline the Country’s Biggest Rap Festival on December 12–13

Rap in Cena 2026 has its lineup: Matuê, Filipe Ret, MC Hariel, Veigh, Wiu, Teto and the new wave of Brazilian rap play Porto Alegre’s Parque Harmonia on December 12 and 13 — general sale now open via Bilheteria Digital.

For expats in Brazil’s south, this is the country’s definitive hip-hop weekend — the festival that turned Porto Alegre into the capital of Brazilian rap, back for its 12th edition with its strongest bill yet.

The Lineup Drops

Rap in Cena confirmed its 2026 lineup this week, and the top line is a statement: Matuê, Filipe Ret and MC Hariel lead a bill that gathers the dominant forces of Brazilian rap and trap on one stage over two December nights in Porto Alegre.

The 12th edition returns to Parque Harmonia — officially Parque Maurício Sirotsky Sobrinho — the festival’s longtime home on the Guaíba waterfront, with general ticket sales open through Bilheteria Digital since September 10.

Matuê and the 30PRAUM Machine

Matuê arrives as the genre’s commercial engine: the Fortaleza artist whose ‘Máquina do Tempo’ broke streaming records for Brazilian rap returns to the festival with his 30PRAUM label crew — Wiu, Teto and Brandão — in what amounts to a label showcase inside the main bill.

Few independent operations in Latin American music have matched 30PRAUM’s model: no major-label scaffolding, arena-level numbers, and a fan base that treats every collective appearance as an event in itself.

Filipe Ret’s ‘Nume’ and MC Hariel’s Moment

Filipe Ret, Rio’s most literary trap voice, brings a special show built around ‘Nume’ — the project that consolidated his shift from underground favorite to arena artist — one of the weekend’s most anticipated sets.

MC Hariel represents São Paulo’s funk-rap crossover at its most current: a performer whose catalog moves between conscious rap and the city’s dance floors without friction, and whose live energy is built for festival scale.

The New Wave

The undercard is where Rap in Cena earns its reputation: Veigh performing with his band Supernova, plus Kayblack, Vulgo FK, Cabelinho, Nanda Tsunami and MC Dricka — the generation that grew up streaming this festival’s headliners.

For listeners trying to understand where Brazilian rap goes next, the second-stage names here are the answer; Rap in Cena has a decade-long record of booking tomorrow’s headliners early.

Why Porto Alegre, Why This Festival

Born in 2014, Rap in Cena made Porto Alegre the unlikely capital of Brazilian hip-hop — a southern city far from the Rio–São Paulo axis that built, year by year, the genre’s most faithful festival audience in the country.

The Parque Harmonia setting is part of the identity: an open park by the Guaíba with the December sun setting behind the main stage, summer in the south at its most generous.

Tickets and Practicalities

General sales opened September 10 through Bilheteria Digital, after the community presale sold through its allocation. Two-day combos and single-day tickets are offered in stages, with prices rising as each tier sells out.

Porto Alegre in mid-December is full summer — heat, humidity and the occasional southern storm. The festival site is central enough for rideshare, and the city runs special bus services toward Parque Harmonia on show nights.

The Southern Rap Economy

Rap in Cena’s endurance is also an economic story: a self-sustaining festival brand that sells out a major park without corporate festival-group ownership, powered by one of the most engaged regional audiences in Brazilian music.

Its success helped prove that Brazil’s festival map extends far beyond São Paulo and Rio — a lesson promoters have since applied to electronic, sertanejo and pop events across the south.

Porto Alegre for First-Timers

For expats flying in: Porto Alegre’s Salgado Filho airport sits inside the urban area, twenty minutes from most hotels, and December accommodation near the Cidade Baixa or Moinhos de Vento districts puts the festival and the nightlife in the same radius.

The city rewards a long weekend — churrascarias, the Guaíba sunset from the Usina do Gasômetro and a craft-beer scene that has become one of Brazil’s best, all within a compact, walkable core.
