Manufacturing and agribusiness in Paraguay manage to export nearly US$4.3 billion this year
So far this year, the productive manufacturing and agribusiness sector managed to export a total of US$4.296 billion, 19%, more than the US$3.615 billion registered in the same period of 2021, reported the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC).
27% of total industrial exports, US$1.157 billion, corresponds to manufacturing goods; while 73%, US$3.139 billion, corresponds to agribusiness goods, refers to the September report issued by the Vice Ministry of Industry.

MANUFACTURING GOODS
From January to September, the export of manufacturing products has reached US$1.157 million, 26% more than the US$920 million registered in the same period in 2021.

Regarding destinations, 76% had Mercosur countries, where Brazil concentrated 60%, Argentina 14% and Uruguay 2%. Other relevant destinations were the United States, 6%; Chile and Bolivia, 4% each; Germany, India, Canada, Peru and Ecuador, 1% each.
The manufactured products exported until September of this year included: auto parts and clothing with 19% each, followed by aluminum products and their manufactures with 11% each; herbicides and fertilizers with 8%, plastics and their manufactures with 6%, and pharmaceutical products with 4%.
AGRIBUSINESS GOODS
The export of agro-industrial goods in the accumulated from January to September registered an increase of 16%, in relation to the same period of the year 2021. The accumulated export values in 2022 report a total of US$3.139 billion, which represents US$444 million more than that registered at the same time last year, with US$2.695 million.
Among the main agro-industrial goods exported are: meat products and their derivatives, 49%; vegetable and animal oil, 20%; flour, cake and waste, 19%; beverages, 3%; hides, 2%; mix for bakery products, 2%; and sugar, 1%.
The main destination markets for agro-industrial goods were Chile, 19%; Argentina, 13%; Brazil, 11%; Russia, 9%; Taiwan, 6%; Poland, 4%; Israel, 4%; United States, 3%; Uruguay, 2%; UK, 2%; India, 2% and Pakistan, 2%. As a whole, Mercosur concentrates 27% of the total agro-industrial goods exported from January to September of the year 2022.
