O Cluster Hosts Creative Economy Forum in Rio April 5th – 6th

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Presenting and discussing ideas, companies, professionals, and current trends in the creative sector, the Fórum de Ideias, Iniciativas e Registros Criativos (Ideas Forum, Initiatives and Creative Records) will take place on Tuesday, April 5th and Wednesday, April 6th at the Memorial Municipal Getúlio Vargas in Glória.

Free and open to the public, the event is produced by O Cluster, a platform for connecting artists and designers with consumers that is known for its fashion, food, and arts fair and for the production of a digital magazine. Additionally, the upcoming forum is sponsored by the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro and the Municipal Culture of Rio de Janeiro.

“The idea of ​​the forum is to present, for free and for anyone, the different creative activities that are taking place in the city and in the country,” Carol Hersz, creator of O Cluster said in a press release. “Through this event, I believe that many entrepreneurs, students, and the general population can create new ways of thinking about the future.”

The event will begin at 4PM on Tuesday, April 5th with Novas Plataformas (New Platforms) a discussion with Cleo do Vale of Feira do Cariri Criativo; Germana Uchoa of Garimppo; and Fernando Remiggi of Sofar.

Following at 6:30 PM, the event will present Offline X Online with guests Julius Wiedemann of Taschen Books; Emilio Domingos of Osmose Filmes; and illustrator and designer Felipe Guga discussing the influence of online environments on the offline world.

A discussion entitled, Criatividade Ética (Creative Ethics) will start the second day of the event at 4PM and will feature guest speakers Patricia Sant’anna of Fashion Revolution Day and Re-roupa; Davi Rezende of Artista Plástico; and Regina Tchelly of Cozinha Criativa.

Finally to close out the forum, the event will host the discussion Movimentos Coletivos (Collective Movements) at 6:30 PM, with guest speakers Jasmine Giovannini of Fora do Eixo/Casa Coletiva and Tiago Rodrigues of Orquestra Voadora discussing how collectives form and are maintained.
