São Paulo to host the first Formula E-Prix in Brazil

The city of São Paulo has signed an agreement with Formula E to host the first race of this category in Brazil. It could happen as early as 2023.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The contract that has been signed has a duration of five years, with options for renewal, which means that, should a race be held here in 2023, Formula E could have at least four new venues on next year's calendar.

The electric single-seater category has already revealed that one round will be held in Cape Town next season; while postponed, Vancouver will make its first appearance on the calendar next year. In addition, the Indian city of Hyderabad has reached another agreement to host a race.
