Brazil-Argentina: Popular Devil’s Throat footbridge closed due to extraordinary rise of Iguazu River

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Devil's Throat tourist circuit on the Argentinian side of the Iguazu falls was closed due to the extraordinary rise of the Iguazu River on Saturday, June 4.

A day earlier, on Friday, the Iguazu Falls, located in Misiones province, reportedly, broke a historical record by registering the largest volume of water in the last five years.

According to the Director of the Iguazu National Park, the tourist activities had been suspended due to the rise of the Iguazu River.
