Petrobras lowers gasoline price by R$0.18 per liter in Brazil; third reduction in a month

Petrobras announced the third gasoline reduction in a month. The liter will be sold to traders for R$3.53 starting this Tuesday (16 ) - a decrease of R$0.18 or 4.9%.

According to the state-owned company, anhydrous ethanol's share of the gasoline price for consumers will drop from R$2.70 to R$2.57 at the pump.

In a statement released Monday (Aug. 15), Petrobras said the reduction follows the evolution of reference prices and is in line with Petrobras' pricing practices.
