Investments in Brazil increased by 17.2% in 2021 -IPEA

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Investment in Brazil is increasing and has grew 17.2% in the cumulative 12 months, in 2021, according to the Institute for Applied Economic Research (Ipea). The data come from Ipea's gross fixed capital formation (GFCF) indicator.

Gross fixed capital formation comprises machinery and equipment, building and civil engineering, and other fixed assets.

The evolution of the indicator represents an increase in the economy's productive capacity and the replacement of depreciation of fixed assets.
