For the survey, 2,400 people were consulted between Oct. 15 and 19.

The Brasmarket poll diverged significantly from former President Lula da Silva’s results in the first round.
The institute’s last poll before the Oct. 2 election saw Bolsonaro with 45.4% of the valid votes, ahead of Lula, who received 30.9%.
The result in the polls was 48.43 percent for Lula (up 17 points, outside the margin of error) and 43.2 percent for Bolsonaro (down just over two points, closer to the margin of error).
