Foreigners invest US$450 million in B3 stock exchange after first round of voting, largest inflow since Aug. 19

Foreign investors invested BRL 2.38 billion (US$450 million) in the secondary segment of B3 (already listed shares) on Monday, Oct. 3.

Ibovespa rose 5.54% in this session as the market reacted positively to Jair Bolsonaro's increased chances of victory.

This is the most significant inflow of foreign capital to the stock exchange since Aug. 19, when R$2.78 billion (US$450 million) was brought in.

This brought the category's net income to R$72.44 billion. In September, the balance was negative at R$ 91.5 million.
