According to Brazilian police, a supporter of Jair Bolsonaro stabbed a supporter of former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (2003-2011) to death Wednesday night in the town of Confresa in the central-western state of Mato Grosso.
"The victim was defending Lula da Silva, the perpetrator was defending Bolsonaro," Civil Police Commissioner Victor Oliveira said, according to the G1 website.
The perpetrator, identified as Rafael Silva de Oliveira, is 22 years old and allegedly killed the victim, Bendito Cardoso dos Santos, 44, with knives and axes, police said.
