According to market reports released this morning, July 25, 2025, silver prices slightly retreated after earlier reaching highs around $39.53 per ounce.

Prices are currently trading between $39.00 and $39.14 per ounce, down approximately 0.3% from the previous session. Yesterdays rise came primarily from traders reacting to ongoing U.S. tariff concerns impacting industrial metals.

Overnight, trade optimism, especially between the U.S., EU, and Japan, diminished safe-haven demand. These factors balanced each other, causing minor price volatility.

Despite the recent easing, the iShares Silver Trust (SLV) saw significant inflows this past week, rising approximately 1.7%. This represents about 8.75 million additional units, highlighting strong investor interest.

Silver ETFs overall have yielded roughly 30% returns year-to-date, significantly outperforming gold ETFs. Fundamentally, silver remains supported by steady industrial demand, particularly from renewable energy, electronics, and technology sectors.

Current annual demand of roughly 1.16 billion ounces continues to exceed supply, presently around 1.02 billion ounces. This ongoing deficit strengthens silvers long-term investment appeal.

Technical analysis of daily charts indicates silver remains bullish, holding comfortably above the 200-day simple moving average (SMA). The Relative Strength Index (RSI) remains around 65, suggesting solid but not overly aggressive buying momentum.

However, shorter-term indicators from the 4-hour chart point to a potential near-term consolidation or slight correction. A bearish crossover emerged on the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD), while RSI dipped from 68 to approximately 55.

Additionally, narrowing Bollinger Bands suggest decreased volatility, indicating silver might trade within a tighter range soon. The Global Liquidity Index (NDQ), indicated by the yellow line on charts, currently remains neutral, not significantly influencing price direction.

This suggests that liquidity conditions have neither constrained nor boosted silver significantly during recent sessions. Looking forward, technical resistance around $39.10 remains critical.

If silver surpasses this level decisively, traders could target the psychological barrier of $40.10. If resistance holds firm, expect prices to consolidate around current levels or slightly lower towards $38.40-$38.70.

In summary, silvers immediate future appears stable yet cautious. Market participants remain attentive to global trade developments, ETF inflows, and technical chart signals to guide their investment strategies.
