LIVE:
Samba da Gávea @ Da Casa da Táta (Gávea) – Around the table, no microphone and no outlet, no rehearsal and no script, this is samba how it should be, full of the magic of improvisation and fun!

This Monday, among those participating will be Alfredo Del Penho, João Cavalcanti, Paulino Dias, Pedro Miranda, and Thiago da Serrinha.

There are fifty places available and the cost is R$30.

The evening starts at 8PM and they advise you to get there early! As they start on time, and the place is not big. After that, you can only get in if someone leaves.

PARTY:
Arquivo S @ Caipi 373 Bar (Lapa) – Monday is the day of the zouk party with Sarrada System at Caipi 373 Bar in Rio’s nightlife neighborhood of Lapa.

For those who are new to zouk, it’s a musical style originating from the Caribbean with a fast jump-up carnival beat, and so it’s the perfect soundtrack to a night filled with dancing and fun.

To get you in the mood, the first caipirinha is on the house!

There will also be four DJ sets, featuring plenty of zouk as well as popular pop hits, funk, kizomba, bass, trap and even Lebanese fusion – guaranteed to keep the dancefloor pumping.

The party will be in Lapa’s newest space, #CAIPI373. The house is a cool space to dance, with a great sound system, friendly service and drinks prices which are among the most affordable in Lapa.

The night starts at 9PM and tickets are from between R$10-R$20.

Alessandra Verney @ Rio Othon Palace (Copacabana) – The singer and actress Alessandra Verney launches her new single ‘Noturno’ (Nocturne) by playing a special acoustic show at the Rio Othon Palace, accompanied by Fernando Nunes.

Alessandra Verney recently celebrated her twenty-fifth year in the music industry with twenty of those years being in many of Brazil’s most successful musicals.

Tickets are R$30 and the show starts at 8:30PM.

Winehouse (Botafogo)
Winehouse is a wine bar run by a British expat that has brought an eclectic range of wines to Rio including a mix of fabulous national wines and international favorites. There is also a great selection of nibbles and cheese boards. For those who aren’t too keen on wine, there is plenty of beer and cocktail options too. Happy hour begins at 6PM and finishes at 8PM.

Pavão Azul is a lively bar in Copacabana, famous for its exceptionally cold beers and prawn pastels. It gets crowded there every night, making every day of the week seem like the weekend.

Located in a charming house at Maria Quitéria Street, its sophisticated drinks and dishes are undoubtedly worth a try. You will also enjoy Nosso if you are a rum lover: their rum drinks, with labels from Cuba and Jamaica, are the house specialties.
