‘Marathon of Joy’ Music Mega-Festival Will Arrive Saturday at Rio’s Olympic Park

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The 10th edition of the Maratona da Alegria (“Marathon of Joy”), one of the most popular festivals in Rio de Janeiro, will be held on Saturday, November 23rd, starting at 2 PM.

Blending funk, ‘sertanejo’ and ‘pagoda’, the event will feature full concerts by Anitta, Marília Mendonça, Wesley Safadão, Kevin O Chris, Ferrugem, Zé Neto & Cristiano, Dilsinho, Dennis DJ, Nego do Borel, Legado and Universo 150 BPM, with DJs Lindão and FP of Trem Bala.

There will be four different sectors to enjoy the event for those attending the Marathon of Joy.

The “Tudo é Festa” (“Everything is a Party”) area will be the most cost-effective option in the event, located right after the entrance, while the “Alegria Premium” sector will feature exclusive admissions and bars. However, both have already sold out tickets.

The “Alegria Open Bar” (“Joy Open Bar”) spot, which ensures access to the front of the stage, with covered area and open bar service with beer, water, juice, and soft drink, is priced at R$385(US$96.25).

Finally, the “Camarote Alegria All Inclusive” (“Joy Box All Inclusive”) will be the most exclusive sector of the festival, offering premium buffet and open bar services, including whisky and vodka, gin and energy drinks, as well as a covered area, elevated floor and access to the front stage. The price for this sector is R$495.

The Marathon of Joy is a production of the companies Peck Productions, Gold Productions, and Mto + Entretenimento, and includes FM O Dia as the event’s official radio station.

The event will feature one of the largest live entertainment infrastructures in the country, covering an area of approximately 25,000 m². Anyone who is unable to get close to the artists in the front rows will be able to follow everything on LED screens.
