Primavera Sound São Paulo 2026: Gorillaz, The Strokes, FKA twigs at Interlagos

Primavera Sound São Paulo 2026 closes the Southern Hemisphere festival season on 5–6 December: Gorillaz, The Strokes, FKA twigs and Lily Allen lead the Barcelona-born festival’s return to Interlagos — and for expats in Brazil, it is the last great weekend of the year.

The festival is listed in our Brazil events calendar, which follows the São Paulo Grand Prix and leads into Réveillon. The calendar runs to October 2027.

Primavera Sound São Paulo 2026: The Lineup

The 2026 bill is the strongest the festival has brought to Brazil. Gorillaz and The Strokes headline both days, closing a South American run that also takes in Primavera Sound Buenos Aires on 28–29 November.

FKA twigs makes her long-awaited Latin American debut, and Lily Allen performs her breakup album West End Girl in its entirety — her first shows in Brazil in more than fifteen years.

The depth is vintage Primavera: Yung Lean, CMAT and Courtney Barnett in their first Latin American appearances, plus underscores, Danny L Harle, Nation of Language, This Is Lorelei, Mannequin Pussy, Model/Actriz, Smerz, Machine Girl and John Talabot. Cara Delevingne appears with a music set.

Brazil is not a footnote: Black Pantera, Gaby Amarantos, Gab Ferreira and Duquesa carry the national flag across the weekend’s stages.

Tickets and What to Expect

Tickets for Primavera Sound São Paulo 2026 are sold through Ingresse, the festival’s official platform, in single-day and two-day formats. Demand has been strong since the lineup dropped in May — the festival’s first edition after the 2024 cancellation sold its early tiers within weeks.

The event is strictly 16+. Inside the racetrack infield, expect multiple stages, food halls and the long walks between sets that define the Interlagos experience — the same grounds that host the Formula 1 São Paulo Grand Prix four weeks earlier.

December evenings in São Paulo are warm but prone to summer storms: a light rain jacket is the veteran move, and comfortable shoes are not optional.

Getting There and Where to Stay

Interlagos sits about 25 kilometers south of central São Paulo. The CPTM Line 9-Esmeralda to Autódromo station is the classic route; rideshare surge after the headliners is extreme, so the train is the smarter exit.

Stay near Pinheiros, Vila Madalena or along the Line 9 corridor for the easiest logistics. Early December is peak season — the same weekend as CCXP at São Paulo Expo — so book accommodation well ahead.

Why This Edition Matters

Primavera Sound’s return after two years away restores the anchor of São Paulo’s December calendar. Between this, CCXP and the Grand Prix, the city now owns the Southern Hemisphere’s strongest six-week run of international events — and the Gorillaz–Strokes double bill, weeks after their Corona Capital headline sets in Mexico City, confirms South America as a first-class stop on the global festival circuit.
