Ecuadorian Air Force transports military troops to the northern border
A Boeing 737-200 has been used to transport Ecuadorian Army troops to areas where surveillance and security operations are being carried out.
The Ecuadorian Air Force (FAE) has announced operations to transport Army troops to reinforce border operations in the north of the country, more precisely in the provinces of Esmeralda and Manabí.
For such purposes and through the Operational Command (CO-5) “Air”, more than a hundred military personnel were transported aboard a Boeing 737-200 with registration FAE-630, who will reinforce the Rapid Reaction Force BIMOT-13 in Esmeraldas, deployed precisely to carry out surveillance, security, anti-crime patrols and control of weapons and explosives in the northwestern and western regions of that nation.

With the above, the Ecuadorian Armed Forces seek to guarantee the security of its road and communications infrastructure, as well as its energy infrastructure, and to effectively combat other illicit activities -including and especially drug trafficking- in these areas in particular.
