Colombian Minister proposes decriminalizing incest in the country

The bill presented to Congress by Colombia's Minister of Justice, Néstor Osuna, proposes the decriminalization of incest between adults.

Currently, Colombian law punishes first-degree consanguinity relatives who have sexual relations with up to six years in prison.

Osuna said in an interview with Blu Radio that the bill aims to eliminate the imprisonment of two adult people who consensually choose to have sexual relations.

The minister also filed a text that seeks to improve prison conditions and decriminalize some practices in the country.
