Colombia: Petro hints that he will cease seeking to pass a political reform

Colombian President Gustavo Petro suggested this Thursday that the Government cease seeking approval of the political reform after the Historic Pact asked him a day earlier that it be shelved given "the lack of political will" of some benches to "change the rules of the game."

"I think that in the political reform, there is no progressive issue left," Petro said on his Twitter profile.

He added, about some of the proposals, that no agreement would have been reached, among other points, to guarantee parity in the lists or a state financing of campaigns.
