Unemployment in Brazil stands at 11.1% in March 2022 and reaches 11.9 million -IBGE

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The unemployment rate in Brazil was 11.1% in the January-March quarter. The percentage did not change compared to the previous quarter (October, November, and December). It decreased by 3.8 percentage points compared to the same period last year, when it was 14.9%.

The IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics) released the data on Friday (29).

According to the survey, there are 11.9 million unemployed in the country. In the quarter from October to December, there were 12 million (the fluctuation is considered stable). Compared to the first quarter of 2021 . . .
