By · September 8, 2019 · 2 min read

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The cast of ‘Órfãos da Terra’ (“Orphans of the Earth”) joined the protest against the government of Jair Bolsonaro called on September 7th.

After the president urged people to take to the streets yesterday in green and yellow, a motion was started for the population to in fact wear black as a form of mourning.

"In mourning and fighting for education, for health, for the Amazon, for the freedom of our Brazil," wrote actress Alice Wegmann, who plays the villain Dalila in the plot.
