The city of São Paulo has a program to celebrate World Rock Day

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – To celebrate World Rock Day, the city of São Paulo has launched a unique program on all weekends in July. The events will take place in municipal cultural institutions and cover different aspects of the music genre, such as punk, metal, hardcore, and psychedelia.

The presentations will take place at Casas de Cultura Butantã, Vila Guilherme, São Rafael, São Mateus, Hip Hop East, Chico Sciense (Ipiranga), Freguesia do Ó and Campo Limpo, Youth Cultural Centers Penha, Grajaú, Santo Amaro, Tendal da Lapa, Galeria Olido and the Flávio Império Theater.

Among the bands that will perform are veterans such as Tutti-Frutti, Mercenárias, Violeta de Outono, and Dominatrix, but also those that have become known in national and international festivals, such as Boogarins, Test, Black Pantera, and Ema Stoned.

Dead Fish, Punho de Mahim, Putz, Menores Atos, Violeta de Outono, Ema Stoned, O Grilo, Queen Tribute Brazil, Power Blues, Test, Silver Rock, Sinaya, Pepe Bueno & Os Estranhos, Golpe de Estado, Miro de Melo & Os Bregapunks, Made in Brasil will also be on stage.

To guarantee the audience a good experience, the Girls Rock Camp Brasil project offers different musical activities for children, creating a space dedicated to the empowerment and protagonism of children through music and art.
