New car sales in Brazil fall 15% in the 1st half of the year -Fenabrave

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The passenger car and light commercial vehicle sector recorded a 15.41% decline in the first half of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021, according to data from a Fenabrave (National Federation of Vehicle Distribution) survey released Tuesday (5).

The decrease in June compared to May was 5.42%. Compared to June 2021, there was a 2.41% decline.

In the first half of this year, slightly more than 851 thousand passenger cars and light commercial vehicles were sold - about 150 thousand less than in the same period of 2021
