Brazilian police disrupt plan to get PCC drug traffickers out of jail
In a statement, the corporation reported that the operation, called “Guardian Angels” aims to “dismantle the rescue plan for criminal organization leaders imprisoned in prisons in Brasilia and Porto Velho (state of Rondônia, north).”
The plan relied on a communication network established between lawyers, who extrapolated their legal activities and acted as a bridge between the demands of the imprisoned leaders and the criminals involved in the rescue plan.

The police also stressed that in addition to the probable rescue of prisoners, the organization also intended to “kidnap authorities” to obtain the release of criminals.

Nearly 80 Federal Police officers are serving 11 pretrial detention terms and 13 documentation search and seizure terms in three states: the Federal District and Mato Grosso do Sul (center-west) and São Paulo (southeast).
According to the local press, the plan intended to rescue, among other PCC leaders, Marcos Willians Herbas Camacho, better known as “Marcola”, a historical leader of the gang.
