Brazilian economic activity in August is 4.86% higher than that of the same period last year

Brazilian economic activity increased by 4.86% in August this year compared to August 2021 (without adjusting the period, since the comparison is between equal months), according to data released yesterday (17) by the Central Bank (BC).

Compared to the previous month, the index of economic activity of the Central Bank (IBC-Br) recorded a decrease of 1.13%.

In the cumulative view over 12 months, the indicator was positive at 2.08%.

Since last year, the results of the IBC-Br have fluctuated. It fell in April and May, rose in June and July, and now it has fallen . . .
