On Tuesday, August 9, after two years suspended due to the pandemic, Brazil inaugurated the largest business aviation fair in Latin America in São Paulo, where global manufacturers exhibit aircraft and related technological solutions.

The 17th edition of the Latin American Executive Aviation Exhibition and Conference (Labace 2022) was marked by the exhibition of 50 aircraft, including single engines, turboprops, helicopters, and executive jets from the world’s leading manufacturers.

The most important exhibitor is the world’s third-largest aircraft manufacturer, Brazil’s Embraer, which also brought its technological advances, and the Phenom 300 model, the world’s best-selling business jet in its segment.

Other multinational brands in the industry are at the exhibition, such as Boeing, Cirrus, Gulfstream, Cessna, Dassault, HondaJet, Bell, and Eurocopter.

“We are returning to the exhibition after two years of suspension due to the pandemic. This event is important for the generation of new business and allows moving the economy not only of Brazil but of the region and the global industry,” said the director of the Brazilian Association of General Aviation (Abag), Flavio Pires, at the opening.

Pires pointed out that the advance in agribusiness in Brazil is also a reason for attracting investments for business aviation and transfers between small cities separated by long distances in the country that is the largest economy in Latin America.

The event lasts for three days at Congonhas Airport in the central region of São Paulo City, Brazil’s leading hub for domestic flights.

According to the National Civil Aviation Agency, in the first six months of 2022, Brazil recorded 185,000 landings and takeoffs, up 20% from the same period in 2019, before the pandemic.
