Brazil elections 2022: Former Education Minister quits governor candidacy for São Paulo state

Abraham Weintraub, former Brazilian Minister of Education, announced during the party's convention that he would run for federal deputy instead of governor.

Former Minister of Education Abraham Weintraub announced on Sunday, July 31, that he would not run for the government of São Paulo state in the October elections.

During the PMB convention, the former minister said that he and his brother, Arthur Weintraub, would be candidates for federal deputy.
