Bolsonaro leads in three of Brazil’s five regions – survey

A survey released Thursday (Aug. 25) by the AtlasIntel Institute, commissioned by consulting firm Arko Advice, shows that President Jair Bolsonaro leads in voting intentions for the presidency of the republic in the Midwest, Southeast, and South.

In contrast, Lula da Silva is in the lead in the Northeast and North of the country.

In the southeast, conservative Bolsonaro has a slight lead over the PT, (left) candidate, with 42.7% of the vote. Lula da Silva has 40%. Ciro Gomes (PDT) has 6.7% and Simone Tebet (MDB) has 6.2%.
