Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro made a commitment on Thursday to Vice President-elect Geraldo Alckmin to the government transition process to allow the inauguration of President-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on Jan. 1.
"The president reiterated commitments of his officials regarding the transition, marked by transparency, planning, and predictability," Alckmin told the press after meeting with the president at the Planalto Palace, the seat of government, in Brasília.
