The President of the Chamber of Deputies, Arthur Lira (PP, center-right), said Thursday (6) that the formation of the new National Congress on Oct. 2 was elected for "the continuity of the Bolsonaro government."
He made the statement after a meeting with parliamentarians allied with the president at the Alvorada Palace.
"On the last day 2, the decisions that Brazil has made have left a very strong message for all Brazilians, with the tendency of the path that the people want for the next 4 years: a center-right Congress, a reformist Congress, a conservative Congress," he said.
