Venezuela advances in strategic alliances with Russia to face global challenges
Venezuelan Foreign Minister Carlos Faría reported this October 12, during his visit to Moscow, that his country is advancing together with Russia in strategic cooperation alliances to face the world situation.
“Venezuela is advancing in strategic alliances to face the world situation for the benefit of our people and humanity. With humility we set an example of firmness and audacity in the face of the obstacles they intend to impose on us,” the official said in a Twitter message.

A high-level delegation from Venezuela, headed by Faría, arrived in Moscow on Tuesday 11 to participate in the International Forum of the Russian Energy Week 2022, which takes place from October 12 to 14.
In another message, the foreign minister confirmed his presence at the event and added that the planned agenda includes strategic aspects of the world energy situation.
According to the Foreign Ministry, Faría is also expected to meet with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexandr Nóvak.

In September, the foreign minister said that Caracas and Moscow would evaluate increasing trade, despite the sanctions faced by both nations.
While, in February, Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Yuri Borisov, visited Caracas to strengthen the strategic alliance between his country and Venezuela.
At that time, both nations established agreements in more than 20 areas of work.
Caracas and Moscow have cooperation agreements in the areas: energy, finance, culture, sports, health, tourism and communication.
