Bem BrasilTuesday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – It’s Tuesday and that means it’s time again for the Bem Brasil Rio Hostel Party with its free caipirinhas from 10PM to 12AM.

For over five years, the event has been going strong and gaining popularity. Held at Gávea’s chic club 00 (Zero Zero) with its indoor/outdoor arrangement, the Bem Brasil Rio Hostel Party is a weekly meeting of locals, tourists, and travelers staying in sixty of Rio’s hostels.

Tonight the entertainment includes a performance from the samba group Bom Batuque and DJs Bruno Lima and Ricardo Martins spinning house and latin rhythms respectively.

Make sure to show up early for the free caipirinhas from 10PM to 12AM and stay late to make new friends and dance the night away as the party continues until sunrise on Wednesday.

Bem Brasil- The Rio Hostels Party (Gávea)
Two hours of free caipirinhas, plus live samba and house DJs, equals a great night out for locals and travelers alike. It’s a weekly opportunity to mix and mingle in one of the chicest venues in Rio.

Blues Night at Barzin (Ipanema)
Tuesday nights are all about blues at Ipanema’s Barzin. The venue with its sophisticated atmosphere, great service and variety of drinks is the perfect place to relax and soak up the smooth and soulful sounds of the blues.

Language exchange – Lapa Irish Pub (Lapa)
It’s Portuguese/English language exchange night at the Lapa Irish Pub. Set up like speed dating, native English speakers will be paired up with native Portuguese speaker at tables. The pairs will then speak English for 5 minutes followed by Portuguese for 5 minutes. After those ten minutes, each speaker will move on to a new table and conversation partner. It’s both fun and educational and the R$10 entrance cost includes free food.
