RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – On Wednesday, January 8th, LinkedIn, a social network focused on careers and professions, listed the 15 professions that will be on the rise in Brazil in 2020. Termed “Emerging Professions”, the study listed the occupations recording a high growth in demand.

According to the report, 13 of the 15 occupations are linked to the information technology and internet sectors, with the social media manager occupying the top position in the ranking.

The Social Media Manager ranks as the most prominent profession for this year. The professional is in charge of leading the company’s social media team.

Among the responsibilities are planning the content strategy, monitoring the access and interaction of users with the company, and assessing relevant data that is collected on social networks.

Among the five primary skills listed by LinkedIn for the profession are familiarization with digital marketing, social networking, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.

2. Cybersecurity Engineer

Cybersecurity is now a critical factor in the success of any digital business, as hacker attacks can cause billions in losses in a very short time.
