Art & Social Transformation is an organization that hosts Rio workshops for talented teens in music, dance, theater and photography.
The event celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ HELP album and movie and performing live during the night will be The Midnight Hour Band, The Beatles Choir, and The British School Beatles Band.
Additionally during the night there will be gourmet food trucks, a cash bar and a raffle. Food trucks will include Panzerotti and Belga waffles.

Rio sees Syria (Cantagalo)
Tonight, Rio sees Syria, a vigil to show solidarity for Syria’s refugees, will take place in Quadra G.R.E.S. Alegria da Zona Sul in Cantagalo. The vigil will take place regardless of weather, as the venue is covered. Candles will be provided for the vigil and there will be one minute of silence during the event. Attendess are asked to bring Brazilian flags or cangas to show support from Brazil for Syria’s refugees.

Fundição Progresso will host the Festa Boho tonight. Inspired by Bohemian chic trends, the event will mix eclectic musical styles including world, folk, punk and vintage. DJs Bibi Deejay, Claudio Macedo, Orelhinha, Dani and Susu Carollo will spin on two stages during the night.

The Festa Ploc returns to Circo Voador in Lapa tonight to celebrate the launch of the Festa Ploc 10 DVD. The DVD features live shows by Luciano do Trem da Alegria, Paquitas, Silvinho Blau Blau, Dr. Silvana & cia, Uns and Outros, Sindico du Ben, João Penca, Mr. Funk and Conrado. Tonight Porto Pirata in Praça da Bandeira will host the sixth edition of the Plastik party. The event will include twelve hours of the best of underground culture with dancing, fashion, projected films and seven DJs spinning the best of post punk, gothic rock, deathrock, synth pop, techno pop, new wave, coldwave, minimal wave, no wave electro, electroclash, art punk, disco punk, EBM, and industrial.
