PARTY:
Release Party for The Calling @ Espacio A (Lapa) – This evening marks the commemoration of the single ‘The Calling,’ the result of a one-off collaboration between Swedish DJ Menja Mist and Brazilian percussionist Marcelo Vig.
The evening’s highpoint will be a hybrid live/DJ set by Menja Mist and Marcelo Vig on percussion. The early Sunset Session will be ushered in by Gruta resident Vitin (Vitor Lins) and the conclusion of the evening will be marked by a DJ set from Australian DJ and creator of Rio Sunset Sessions, Billy Daniel Aldea-Martinez.
This free event begins at 5PM.

LIVE:
Mariene de Castro @ Teatro Rival Petrobras (Centro) – The singer Mariene de Castro will be performing her new show ‘Roda a Baiana,’ (Bahian Wheel) at the Teatro Rival Petrobras.
This will be the last time audiences in Rio can catch this show of brilliant Brazilian roots music, where Castro will also sing a selection of her career highlights.
Tickets are available from R$45 and the night begins at 8:30PM.

Festa Prime @ Marina da Glória (Glória) – This is a huge party that has been rocking Rio for over a decade, arriving at Rio’s beautiful Marina da Glória this Saturday with a premium open bar and plenty of aural entertainment.
Directly from the Colombian Baile there will be DJ Zullu, besides Mc TH, retro pagode with the group Sua Amiga Gosta, DJ Tucho, DJ Tartaruga and others.
Tickets are available from R$210 and the party starts at 10:30PM.

Winehouse (Botafogo)
Winehouse is a wine bar run by a British expat that has brought an eclectic range of wines to Rio including a mix of fabulous national wines and international favorites. There is also a great selection of nibbles and cheese boards. For those that aren’t too keen on wine, there is plenty of beer and cocktail options too. Happy hour begins at 5PM and finishes at 8PM.

Blue Agave (Ipanema)
Blue Agave Ipanema is always a great place for Mexican food, drinks and for watching live sport streams and broadcasts. Just around the corner from Posto 9, the bar is also known for its mostly English-speaking staff and crowd which frequents the establishment.
