New Direct Flights Strengthen Brazil-Saudi Ties

Saudi Arabia and Brazil are set to introduce direct flights this year, marking a significant stride in their bilateral relationship.

Deputy Minister Sultan M. Al Musallam made this announcement in Madrid, emphasizing a new chapter in travel between the two countries.

Come March, officials will select specific cities for these air links.

Sultan’s announcement is a big step, making travel easier and fostering closer ties between the people of both nations.

Brazil’s Minister of Tourism, Celso Sabino, views this as a major achievement for President Lula’s administration.

These direct flights, expected to significantly boost Brazilian tourism, stem from discussions held last year.

Furthermore, Sabino’s meetings with Air Europa aim to open additional flight routes from Spain to Brazil.

His agenda also included negotiations with Alpitour, Italy’s leading tour operator, to discuss potential direct flights between Italy and Brazil through the airline Neos.

These initiatives are more than just new air routes; they represent Brazil’s efforts to strengthen its global presence.

By enhancing air connectivity, Brazil aims to attract more tourists, promote cultural exchanges, and stimulate economic growth.

The upcoming direct flights to Saudi Arabia, coupled with potential new routes to Spain and Italy, signal Brazil’s commitment to expanding its tourism sector and fostering international cooperation.

These developments are expected to bring mutual benefits, enriching cultural understanding and boosting economic opportunities between Brazil and these countries.
