Miss Universe San Juan is the 2026 world pageant, with the final on Tuesday 24 November at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico. Two earlier public nights, a costume show on Saturday 21 November and the preliminaries on Sunday 22 November, come before it.
For US readers, Miss Universe San Juan is a world pageant held on American soil, a short flight from the mainland. Prices have not been published, and a dispute among the pageant’s owners makes some details uncertain.

What Miss Universe 2026 Is and Why It Matters to Americans
Miss Universe is one of the world’s best-known beauty pageants, in which a woman from each participating country or territory competes for a global title. The 2026 edition is the 75th, and it is being held in Puerto Rico, a US territory in the Caribbean.
The current titleholder is Fátima Bosch Fernández of Mexico, who holds the 2025 title, the Miss Universe Organization’s website says. A new winner will be crowned at the final on Tuesday 24 November.
Miss Universe San Juan matters to US readers because it is a short trip from the mainland and a rare live pageant on American soil. The Coliseo sells single-night tickets and packages, so a visitor can choose one evening or the whole run.
The event also lands at a sensitive moment, because the two groups that co-own the pageant are in an open dispute. We explain that dispute below, and what it means for a ticket buyer.
Schedule and Start Times in San Juan and US Eastern
The Coliseo’s ticket page for Miss Universe San Juan lists three public events. The National Costume show is on Saturday 21 November 2026 at 7 pm, and the preliminaries are on Sunday 22 November at 7 pm.
The final is on Tuesday 24 November, but the page disagrees with itself. The ticket listing says 7 pm, while the date-and-hour box says 8 pm, so treat the start time as unconfirmed.
Puerto Rico stays on Atlantic Standard Time, which is UTC-4, all year round. The United States moves its clocks back on Sunday 1 November 2026, so New York is on UTC-5 for all three nights.
That makes a 7 pm start in San Juan 6 pm in New York, and an 8 pm start 7 pm in New York. Chicago is one hour behind New York, and Los Angeles is three hours behind.
The Coliseo page publishes no doors time. Plan to arrive early, because security checks and bag rules can slow the queue.
Because the final is on a Tuesday, visitors who fly in for the weekend shows must either stay through Tuesday or miss the crowning. Check return flights for Wednesday 25 November before you buy tickets, since a late finish can make a same-night departure impossible.
Miss Universe 2026 Tickets: Who Sells Them and What to Expect
The Coliseo sells Miss Universe San Juan tickets through Ticketera, a platform powered by TiX.By. The event page names No Limit Entertainment as the promoter, and the Coliseo phone number is 787-777-0800.
There are three ways to buy. A Universe Experience package covers all three nights, a Premium Experience package covers the first two nights, and single tickets are listed for each night.
The page shows seating charts for several listings but no prices, and it does not say whether any section has sold out. It notes that prices exclude the IVU sales tax and service charges, so the total at checkout will be higher than the base price.
Buy only through the links on the Coliseo’s own website, because resale listings elsewhere cannot be verified. Tickets must be shown in a digital wallet format, and photos of tickets are not accepted for scanning.
Children aged two and older need a ticket. Anyone aged 15 or younger must be accompanied by an adult aged 21 or older at all times.
Only clear bags up to 12 by 6 by 12 inches or small clutches up to 4.5 by 6.5 inches are allowed inside. Weapons, professional cameras, video cameras, selfie sticks, lighters, e-cigarettes, and food and drinks are among the prohibited items.
Buyers of accessible seats must show a disability card or valid ID on the day of the event as a condition of entry. Questions about accessible seating can go to the Coliseo on 787-777-0800.
Getting to the Coliseo de Puerto Rico
The venue is the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot, at 500 Arterial B, San Juan, PR 00918. It stands in the Hato Rey area of the city.
The Coliseo website lists only the address, a map link and a phone number. It gives no parking or public transport details, so this guide states none.
Ask your hotel how long the trip takes on the night of the show, because arena traffic in San Juan can be heavy. Agree a pick-up point before the final ends, since thousands of people leave at the same time.

The Ownership Dispute Behind the Pageant
The Miss Universe Organization is owned through a company called JKN Legacy, which MU East and MU West own equally. In September 2026, MU East said it had raised governance and financial questions with the Puerto Rico Tourism Company, the agency behind the host agreements.
MU East also said it did not approve the authorisation papers presented to that agency. It named three public contracts, numbered 2026-000253, 2026-000253-A and 2027-000149, in the island comptroller’s contract registry.
The same statements say the aim is not to disrupt, postpone or cancel the pageant. MU East says it remains committed to a successful 75th pageant in Puerto Rico.
On 18 September MU East said it has a contractual right to send six delegates, from Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos, Malaysia and Singapore. It added that their participation should not be blocked by a disagreement between the two groups.
These are MU East’s own statements, and they present one side of the disagreement. A separate funds allegation reached the Puerto Rican Senate, which we covered in our earlier report.
For a ticket buyer, the practical point is that no cancellation is shown on the Coliseo or organisation pages, but the dispute is unresolved. On 8 October 2026 the organisation announced that Vietnam will host the 76th pageant in 2027, a choice made by MU East.
Safety, Costs and Tips for US Visitors
Puerto Rico is part of the United States, so a Miss Universe San Juan trip is paid in US dollars. Bring the government photo ID your airline requires, and non-US citizens should check their own entry rules.
No confirmed hotel prices for 21 to 24 November are available, so this guide quotes none. Rates in San Juan can rise when a large event is on, so book early and choose a refundable rate.
Set a spending ceiling before you buy, because package prices are unpublished and fees come on top. Add the cost of taxis or ride-hailing between your hotel and the arena.
Treat the arena area as you would any big city at night. Keep phones and wallets out of sight, and do not leave drinks unattended.
Check the US State Department’s travel pages and your airline for the latest notices before you book. This guide does not replace them.
For a pageant fan, the three nights offer different things. The costume show is the most playful, the preliminaries show the contestants in swimwear and gowns, and the final names the winner.
If you can only attend one night at Miss Universe San Juan, the final is the one with the crowning. If you want to see more of the contestants, the preliminaries are the better choice.
How to Watch Miss Universe 2026 in the United States
The Miss Universe Organization’s website had announced no US broadcast or streaming partner for the 2026 final as of 31 October 2026. This guide therefore names no channel or app.
Check the organisation’s official site and social accounts in the days before 24 November. Treat any Miss Universe San Juan broadcast listing that is not on those pages as unconfirmed.
What Is Not Confirmed Yet
For Miss Universe San Juan, ticket prices, fees, seating sections and sell-out status are not published on the Coliseo page. The start time of the final is shown as 7 pm in one place and 8 pm in another.
The contestant list, the hosts and the judges are not named on the Coliseo or organisation pages. A US broadcast or stream is also not announced there.
The dispute between the pageant’s co-owners is unresolved, though MU East says it does not want the event cancelled. Everything in this guide rests on the Coliseo’s pages and the organisation’s statements as of 31 October 2026.
