CPFL Energia, Taesa, Embraer, and SLC Agrícola to Distribute Nearly R$4 Billion in Dividends

Brazilian companies CPFL Energia, Taesa, Embraer, and SLC Agrícola will distribute close to R$4 billion ($667 million) in dividends and interest on equity to their shareholders.

The company’s payout represents 59% of its R$5.76 billion ($960 million) net profit for 2024. CPFL’s dividend yield stands at 9.38%, significantly above the sector median, showing its commitment to shareholder returns.

Taesa, a key player in electricity transmission, will pay R$301 million ($50 million) in dividends in two installments. The company will pay R$190.6 million ($31.8 million) on May 28, 2025, and R$110 million ($18.3 million) on November 27, 2025.

Embraer, Brazil’s flagship aerospace manufacturer, resumes dividend payments after a seven-year pause. The company will distribute R$194.2 million ($32.4 million) in total, including R$51.4 million ($8.6 million) in dividends and R$142.8 million ($23.8 million) in interest on equity.

The dividend payment is set for May 23, 2025, and only shareholders on record as of May 12, 2025, will receive these funds. Embraer’s return to dividends signals renewed financial health after years of restructuring and market challenges.

SLC Agrícola, a leading agribusiness firm, will pay R$241 million ($40 million) in dividends, or R$0.54 per share. This payout equals 50% of the company’s adjusted net profit for 2024.

The payment will occur on May 15, 2025, for shareholders on record at the close of May 5, 2025. SLC’s consistent performance and efficient land management have made it a standout in Brazil’s agricultural sector.
